Since the old days hairs had a sacral significanceto many of ancient cultures. People take care of them, colored, braided. Hairs were endowed with some mystic properties. Loss of hairs could bring disgrace, and this disgrace could be wiped out just by blood. In a modern world taking care and hair adorning are still on the front burner both for women and men. A great many hairdressing salons and beauty parlors create great legion of looks: from stylish evening hairs to daily severe hair-do and sets.

In the first half of the XVII century in Europe such decoration elements as different sizes and forms combs were very popular among women of all ages. From the beginning these combs were made from turtle-shells. More expensive combs were produced from precious metals, bones of exotic animals and rare minerals. Difficulty of processing, material costs and many other factors influenced on a number of women who could afford wearing such combs (mainly from wealthy class). Nowdays producing of beautiful combs doesn't require extirpating of turtles, hand work is not necessary. A bit of plastic filament, a 3D model and a 3D printer are sufficient to make a lovely decoration element.
