Dryer for 3D printing filament - FILDRY
Everyone, who is a bit experinced in FDM 3D printing, has faced a problem of moisture absorption by filament just for once. As the result the next problems accure:
- moisture affects adhesiveness of layers;
- pimples and defects appear on surfaces of a printed object because of intensive vaporing of wet in an extruder;
- mechanical characteristic of a printed model deteriorate.
As we design and manufacture 3D printers and as we are involved into 3D printing process and practical application of 3D printing, this problem is becoming a pressing issue. So we designed a special device - a dryer for 3D printing filaments FILDRY.
The main advantages of the dryer are next:
- Method of a filament spool fixation decreases probability of unreeling and tangling the filament.
- The dryer is designed for two spools, so it is convinient to use it with 3D printers, which have the opportunity to print with 2 filaments.
- There are two holes for threads of filaments - so it is possible to print directly from the dryer. This possibility is particularly topical for nylon.
- The dryer is very compact, so it is convinient to store and transport it.
- A powerful heater 250W makes it possible to maintain stable desired temperature and to dry the air efficiently.
